CHOSEN: A MINISTRY FOR WIDOWS
The Chosen Ministry provides ladies who have lost their husbands a place of belonging, healing and opportunities to help others through their loss. Chosen's title reflects not the circumstance of widowhood, but the identity we possess in Christ. Chosen began at First Baptist in April of 2005 and consists of two groups that meet on a monthly basis for fellowship:

Young Chosen ministers to ladies under the age of 55. |

Classic Chosen ministers to ladies age 55+. |
The entire ministry meets twice a year for a spring brunch and a Christmas dinner. Speakers are often invited to address issues relevant to widowhood.
