YOUR FIRST VISIT

Registration

  • Security for your child is a top priority at First Baptist. All parents are required to check in at one of the Preschool Welcome Desks to receive their security badges. First time attendees can register at the Guest Check-in to receive their security badges. All preschool children, newborn to pre-kindergarten, must be registered to enter the classroom.
  • If you need a permanent security tag, you may request one at the Preschool Welcome Desk. Cards are issued to the parents and mailed to their home address.
  • Silent pagers are also available and may be checked out at the Preschool Ministry Welcome Desks.

Drop Off

  • A teacher will meet you at the door to receive your child. For your child's protection, we ask parents and sibling not to enter the room. This leads to crowding and confusion.
  • Parents of babies are asked to complete a Babies and Ones Information Card on your first visit. It contains information to help us locate you. Also, each time your baby attends you should complete a Preschool Information Form so that we can better care for your child's needs.
  • For older preschoolers there is a Sign-In Sheet located outside each classroom. Please put your location or cell phone number on the sheet. Remember to put your cell phone on vibrate.

Pick Up

  • When you return for your child, you must present your security sticker to the teachers. Please do not send older siblings to get preschool children. Preschoolers are only released to adults with the proper security badge. If you lose your badge, you can get another one at the Preschool Welcome Desk by showing proper photo identification.

What to Pack in Your Child's Bag:

  • Your child's name should appear on ALL items you bring (diaper bag, bottles, cups, pacifiers, etc.).
  • Plastic bottles for formula fed babies.
  • If you are using formula, please include the directions for mixing on the Pre-School Information Form. Please do not assume we know how to mix your formula.
  • An ample supply of diapers, wipes, and formula. If you breast feed, we have a nursing mother's room near the infant class.
  • A change of clothes including underwear and socks for older preschoolers.
  • Bring and label any comfort items (pacifier/blanket) and let the teacher know.
  • We ask that you leave personal games and toys at home. Sharing can be difficult, and there are plenty of activities planned for your child while they are here.
