FAMILY DEDICATIONS
Family Dedications are a special event at First Baptist Church, Hendersonville. We want to celebrate the new addition to your family and encourage you as parents to bring up your children in the "discipline and instruction that comes from the Lord" (Ephesians 6:4). We have a special day planned for you and your family.
The day will begin with a one-time class for parents at 11 a.m. led by Young Adult Pastor, Mark Satterfield. This class will include topics such as: Understanding Parent/Baby Dedication, The Development of Your Child, The Importance of Man and Dad, Ways to Bless Your Child, and Biblical Foundations.
At the conclusion of the class, parents, along with their immediate family members will be our guest at a lunch hosted by the Preschool Ministry.
After lunch (1 p.m.) families will participate in a special Family Dedication Ceremony led by our Pastor, Dr. Bruce Chesser. Any special friends and other family members can be invited to join us in the Chapel for the ceremony at 1 p.m. Participating families will receive a Read-To-Me Bible, dedication photo and certificate, along with other special gifts to commemorate the day.
We have two Family Dedication Days planned for 2012: May 20 and October 21.
