DivorceCare for KidsDC4K (DivorceCare for Kids)

DC4K (DivorceCare for Kids) helps children heal from the hurt of divorce. DC4K is for children in Second through Fifth Grades and meets on Wednesday evening at 6:30 p.m.-8:00 p.m. This is an approximate 12-week class.

Children are engaged and active while participating in their DC4K group. Each session combines the following elements: games, story time, workbook, DVD dramas, group discussion, music, crafts and snacks. The topics of DC4K sessions are:

  2. God Loves the Child in All Kinds of Families
  3. Facing My Anger
  4. Journey From Anger to Sadness
  5. I Am Not Alone
  6. God's Plan For Me
  7. Developing New Relationships
  8. Financial Smarts
  9. It's Not My Fault
  10. Telling My Parents How I Feel
  11. Forgiveness
  12. Loving My Parents
  13. Moving On: Growing UP and Closer to God

Bible Memory

Children have until July 22, 2012 to learn their Bible verses and complete additional work.

On Sunday, July 29, 2012 Bible memory awards will be given out in children's Sunday School classes (Grades K-5). Parents, encourage your children to learn the verses at home before they come to church on Sunday. Verse cards are available at the Children's Welcome Centers.

Bronze Medal - Learn 10 or more memory verses
Silver Medal - Learn at least 25 verses and Level 1 of the additional work
Gold Medal - Learn at least 40 verses and Levels 1 and 2 of the additional work

10/100 Bible Reading Challenge for Kids

This reading plan will guide children in 10 months of reading 100 passages every Christian should know. We will begin in February reading 10 passages per month. By not having to read a passage every day, this plan is flexible and should not overwhelm your child. Please join us June 4-8, 2012 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Vacation Bible School is for children who have completed Kindergarten through completed 5th grade.
